A must-win game brought us the 3 points and put us in a very positive position in the table this week. However, it was no easy game against a team 2nd from bottom and once again we found it more difficult playing against 10 men than 11.

Our Armenian opposition had a good defence and one outstanding player with yellow boots and it was him after 4 minutes who won the penalty after a collision with Alan Kaler sent the guy flying, a questionable decision, but they scored and suddenly we are 1-0 down.

However, we immediately hit back with a beautiful cross from Daniel Geron on the right to Niv Gur at the back post, 1-1 after 8 minutes. Just 3 minutes later Gal Noymark shot from 30 yards and the goalkeeper made a mess of it helping it into the top corner.

On the 17th minute, a player already on a yellow card took down Ilan Flax and was sent off! We had a number of chances in the first half but couldn’t finish them - David Bennaroch didn’t have much to do.

The second half we came out sloppy and it was Homenetmen who put pressure on us and they were awarded a goal on the 61st minute, breaking through the middle of the defence.

For the next 20 minutes, we piled on the pressure but their keeper made good saves and they hit us on the break with David making some good saves of his own. On the 83rd minute a beautiful ball from Ilan to Niv, who headed home his second of the game to make it 3-2.

What happened in the next 10 minutes nearly gave the Inter B supporters heart attacks as we were awful and sloppy, giving the ball away and making mistakes. David Bennaroch made 3 of the best saves in 10 mins he has made all season, they were so unlucky not to score. With 2 minutes left, Ehud Eblagon got his second yellow card and was dismissed but luckily we held out for the 3 points.

Not our best performance but as coach Matt Keston said at the end of the game, not playing our best but still getting the 3 points is the sign of a great team. We have now won 3, drawn 3 and lost 1, and we are on course if we continue to win our games to make this league ours. 💪

Man of the match: David Bennaroch 🔥
