Friday presented another stern test for our Liga Gimmel side with an away fixture to Ruach Tel Aviv, as we continued to try and stay with the breakaway pack at the top of the league table.

Both Aron Soloducho and Mono Bechini returned from injury to slot back into the back-line, while Roni Sirosky also came back into the starting XI after missing out in midweek.

As has been the trend of late, we again started slow out of the blocks and it was our opponents who had the better chances in the opening period, scoring one within 20 minutes and having another saved masterfully by Leo Gewertz.

We reacted well though and were level within a few minutes, after Gaston Hilman picked up on a mistake from the Ruach Tel Aviv to play in Oded Puzis for a simple finish.

Oded and Vlad Kart could have easily increased the lead before half time as we started to dominate the game, but they missed their chances and we would go into the break all square.

In the second half, it took us only 10 minutes to take the lead for the first time in the game, Aron Soloducho going on a devastating run forward, playing a one-two with Vlad, before side-footing the ball pass the goalkeeper.

The second goal gave us real confidence and Oded Puzis added his second of the game before Sam Sank scored the 4th from a corner to give us all three points and keep us close to the league leaders.

Next up is another tricky fixture, as we host Bnei Yehud.
