On Wednesday evening we took on Hapoel Yafo at home, having won all 4 games since the second half of the season began. We had beaten the same opposition away earlier in the season and with almost a full roster at Head Coach AJ Mitnick's disposal, confidence was high heading into the game.
We raced into a first-quarter lead quickly, asserting our dominance over Yafo, with the likes of Jake Pemberton (18 points) and Sam Roche (13) scoring at will. Both Barak Swarttz (11) and Amishav Weinstein (10) would also reach double figures. Meanwhile, Zack Goldberg scored his first points for the club.
At one point the lead reached 32 points and Yafo never really looked like they would come back into the game, although they did cut the lead down in the closing stages.
The victory puts our record to 11-4 for the season and still within touching distance of the all-important 1st place in the table and the potential for promotion to Liga Alef.
