Just a week after taking unbeaten league leaders Hapoel Gezer Na'an to the brink, we next faced off against Hapoel Netzer Sereni, whose only defeat this season was to last week's opponents.
The two most difficult road trips of the season, one after the other, was a true test of our character and although we were once again narrowly beaten, we competed well and made ourselves proud.
Our roster was again depleted with no fit point guards available for this tricky fixture against the league's best pressing team, but we did welcome back Barak Swarttz from injury. We struggled in transition defence to start the game and couldn't handle their full court press as our opponents took the lead.
We arguably were the better team for the majority of the game but a poor opening first 5 minutes and one other bad stretch in the second half proved costly as we constantly played catch up.
Sam Roche led our scoring with an impressive 27 points (his second highest return this season), while Barak, Nyv Segev, Yaniv Green and Daniel Baranes all reached double figures.
Next week we host bottom side Maccabi Gedera at home as we hope to bounce back to winning form.
