After two straight defeats, the longest losing streak in our short history as a team, we were determined to get back to winning ways as we hosted Hapoel Brenner Ekron last Thursday night.

Prior to the game, last season's starting point-guard, Oren Ben-Brith, was given his flowers as he returned to Israel and watched the Liga Aleph game, which saw a decent crowd in attendance.

It was a slow start for our side in the first quarter and, at one point, we found ourselves down by 16. The second quarter saw us finally starting to click but we were still down by half-time.

However, AJ Mitnick's half-time words clearly did the trick as we came out firing on all cylinders in the third quarter, going on a relentless run, which saw us take the ascendancy and open up a commanding lead.

The game was all but won by the 4th quarter, with every squad member getting minutes as we raced into a big lead. By the end of the evening, Meir Tapiro (27), Nyv Segev (22) and Sam Roche (20) all picked up nice shooting numbers.

The win moves us to a 403 record after 7 games played, with a trip to Givat Brenner to take on the second team from that town coming up next.
