Our first game of the season ends in a very undeserved loss after we had many more good chances than our opposition but failed to be clinical in front of goal.

Some big positives to take away and, as a new team of people who have not played together before, we looked pretty decent!

We played a 3-5-2 formation with the plan to press high and in the first 9 minutes it worked nicely, we were all over the Latins but couldn’t find the early goal despite an excellent chance that came close from debutant Adam Kohler.

On the 9th minute, a horrific fall and dislocated elbow for another debutant, Allan Camarov, meant the game was delayed and the Brazilian went off to hospital after the emergency services were called.

Our main chances came in the second half as their goalkeeper made some fantastic saves to deny new Turkish striker Sabi Beraha three big opportunists.

They then scored on the break, a beautiful goal where their striker took the ball down with a touch and beat our defence to fire home.

We came at Latin Sports once more pinning them into their half but we kept missing the opportunities that came our way. Sabi had already been booked for chatting back to the referee and on the 78th minute was given a second yellow for a foul.

With 7 minutes to go we changed to just two at the back with 10 men and really went for the goal. But, unfortunately we didn’t find it and were punished in the final minute for taking the risk as they went 2-0 up with virtually the last kick of the game.
