An important win and three points against a team we now rise above in the table, after a previous two weeks where we were not at our best.

The first half saw us dominate much of the possession and create a number of chances most of which we did not finish. We battled and defended very well, our only weakness at times was passing and giving long balls away.

The opposition did not have one proper chance on our goal and it was a relaxing time in the net for Dave Shooter who played the first half.

Just before halftime, Zack Shooter latched onto a good through ball, rounded the keeper and passed it across to Eliran Pinto who had got himself into the perfect position to make it 1-0 and tap into an empty net.

The second half was an improved performance in terms of passing but we didn’t finish a number of good opportunities. The game opened up more and Spartak had two big chances to equalise, one a great shot that just went wide and the other, the only time they broke through our defensive line, which we had Roy Konfino to thank for a fantastic save!

We held on for the 1-0 win and it was a good performance all round where we did enough to take all 3 points.
