Latin Sports are top of the IFLI2 league having only lost 1 and drawn 1 game the entire season; winning every game with ease and top scorers looked to have finished us off within 6 minutes. But the game turned into a story that no one would have predicted.

They scored after 3 mins with a long ball along the ground down our right side that their striker got to first and finished beautifully in the bottom corner, it was an impressive goal. Then, just 3 minutes later they scored a lucky goal as the ball was shot from the corner of the box took a big deflection and ended up in the corner of our net.

After 15 minutes though we started to settle; passing the ball around better, got into their half and started to create chances. We had two massive chances in the first half both one-on-one's that unfortunately were hit wide and over by Daniel Nozick and Sabi Beraha. We knew we were still in the game and an early second half goal would rattle them.

We got the breakthrough in the 55th minute as Guile Meyer beat his man and put a good cross in that fell to Reuben Lewis to get his first goal for the club! On the 75th minute, Sabi had a chance saved but won the ball back again in a battle in front of goal and found Beni Polnauer who made it 2-2.

For the next 10 minutes it became a very end-to-end match with chances for both teams, with Mikey Meyer pulling off one stunning save for us as both sides looked for a winner.

Heartbreak occurred in the 88th minute came as a simple long ball was put into our box, we didn’t clear it and the ball hit Eyal Cumartesi's hand to prevent the goalbound ball, although it did seemed that he was pushed in the buildup. Instead of giving us a free kick, the referee gave a penalty and a straight red card for Eyal.

The penalty was weak but wrong sided Mikey and they went 3-2 ahead. In the very last second the ball was put into Sabi for a big chance but their goalkeeper saved it to give the league leaders all three points.
