Due to the World Cup, Liga Gimmel took a two-week break from league action and with minimal training done in that time, we faced a stern test as we travelled to Ramat Gan to face HaKoach Gali Gil in our first game back.

Our opponents sat 2nd in the league table, having beaten the league leaders before the break so we knew it was going to be a tough game as we braved the cold on a Monday night away from home.

Yet, despite the circumstances, we controlled the game from the very beginning and really should have gone ahead early through Alon Zurita, but his chip over the Ramat Gan keeper went just wide.

Totally against the run of play, Ramat Gan took the lead after 35 minutes, after the left-back beat the offside trap and put a good ball in the middle. We didn't deal with the danger and after the ball bobbled in the box, it was headed past Leo Gewertz.

We felt hard done by to be behind at the break but continued pushing in the second half, which proved to be a much more open game. After pressing all game, we were finally rewarded with a late equaliser from Vlad Kart, who was put through on goal by Fernando Zatz for is 20th goal of the season.

Leo Gewertz made a great save late on to keep the scores level, but we really should have grabbed a winner ourselves with a few late chances. The draw keeps us close to the top and we face league leaders Tzafririm Holon on Friday.
