''I had an urge to move to Israel since 2015 and went through the Aliyah process on three separate occasions... clearly, I contemplated it for way too long. After travelling for 8 months in 2019, (3 of the months being in Israel), I slowly went through the motions of the third round of Aliyah application and once getting approved when I was back in Chicago, I knew it was finally the time to jump the gun, so here I am.
''A dear friend of mine, Sam Sank, is part of the Inter Aliyah management and once the women's team took off, I knew I had to check it out and I'm so glad I did! The people are extremely welcoming and the girls are all amazing. We all come from completely different countries, backgrounds and all have our own history with the sport, but we all feel drawn to it, love to play it, encourage each other, make it fun, and try not to take it too seriously!!
''I have been playing soccer since I was 5-years-old I'd say. I followed my brother's footsteps at a young age and never really looked back. It has been a huge part of me throughout my entire life and has taught me a lot of transferable skills.
''Whether playing in little leagues where my dad was my coach (not sure how that was allowed), with my brother down our hallway growing up (trying not to hit our mom's precious white walls), or in the backyard with my brother and his friends where my brother's cones-for-goals always tended to be slightly wider than my team's, I always knew I wanted to continue playing for as long as I could.
''I played at a club in my younger years and throughout my 4 years in high school. I also have played co-ed in college with friends, and on and off in NYC for fun and after a few years of a break, trying to get back into it again thanks to Inter Aliyah.
