Did You Know: ''Gasti'' has been an Inter Aliyah original, featuring in our first-ever Liga Gimmel campaign, the 2016/17 season. However, he only managed to take ownership of the coveted #10 shirt a year later.
''My “falling in love with soccer” started at the age of 5. A good friend of mine took me to futsal training at USAR, a Jewish club in Rosario and since then futbol is my “drug”. Thinking, playing, dreaming, talking, arguing, “managing” (football manager) and everything else that is related to the rounded ball.
''I made Aliyah with my family from Rosario, Argentina in 2002, due to the economic crisis. Back then, I was just 12-years-old and my dream was (and still is) to become a professional player. I made it all the way in the Hapoel Ra'anana youth teams up to the highest 'Noar' team. Then, the army duty called and my little dream was put on hold.
''After the army service as a Kravi (combat) officer and South America trip as a Mochilero, I started my degree in Computer Science at the IDC Herzliya. One day I finished a test and I was supposed to start studying for the next one that was two days later.
''Suddenly I saw one of the Inter Aliyah founder’s posts about some tryouts for a new Olim team in Liga Gimmel. I guess the rest is history; I managed to pass the trials and since then I’m still playing for this amazing team.
''I can say that I’m blessed to be part of this team. Fulfilling my dream for almost 5 years, even if it’s on a smaller scale. It’s incredible to see how the players help each other and I’m pleased to give a hand to newcomers with their klita (absorption).
''I hope to be part of it as long as I stay fit and enjoy being on the pitch, and of course, helping the team to go up at least one divison.
''Vamo Inter Carajo!''
