Friday's opponents Maccabi Pardes Katz are undoubtedly the weakest team in the league and perhaps in the entire country, but nevertheless, three points were at stake as we travelled to Petach Tikva in the pouring rain.

David Martane shuffled his squad and starts were given to the likes of Andre Walker and Beni Polnauer as we took on the league's bottom-placed team. We wasted no time in getting the show on the road as Beni passed to Ron Sharifi who fired home a long-range effort from outside the box.

Ron scored an almost identical goal just five minutes later and it was clear even at this point that a rout was on the cards. Andre Walker, Yuval Levi, Roey Sartov and Evyatar Erez all managed to find the net before the referee blew for half time in what was a dominant display from our boys.

Ariel Peretz and Daniel Cabral both came on at half-time for the first game time in a few weeks and the goals kept on coming as we showed no signs of slowing up against the shocked Pardes Katz team.

Evyatar scored a second-half hat-trick, sandwiching a powerful strike from Ilan Flax, who also was introduced after the break. Both Yuval and Andre each doubled their tally for the day as we reached a dozen goals by the time the referee called it a day.

The result was an improvement on the 11-0 scoreline that we beat our opposition earlier on in the season but the focus already shifts to next weekend where we take on local rivals Beitar Yafo away from home.

With just 4 games left to play this season, 12 points will guarantee a place in the promotion play offs.
