Promotion to the IFLI Division 1 is not mathematically possible, so Matt Keston's men are playing for pride and table position in the last few games of the season. We started the game in complete control, going 2-0 up very quickly and Macallan simply couldn’t get anywhere near us. Great goals by Tom Printac and Zack Shooter, with Guile getting great assists

After going up by two goals, we start giving the ball away and playing far too relaxed, starting with a mistake as the ball is given away by the defence on the 37th minute and their striker runs through to score with a 1-on-1.

Just before the half time whistle, their team keep the ball, we don’t attempt to make a proper tackle and poor marking leads to their headed equaliser from a cross.

After the half time break, we come out much better and are rewarded with a great goal by Tom, after a wonderful ball by Didi. An almost identical situation happens a minute later but Tom chips the ball and is denied by the goalkeeper. We had many many chances in the next 20 minutes and could have been winning 5-2, both Tom and Zack were being gifted many opportunities.

However, 3 minutes of madness ensued, where they first equalised with a simple long ball over the top which was not dealt with by the defence or goalkeeper. Then, just after, their one good player took apart our defence with ease and slotted the ball home.

To make matters worse, we then received 2 red cards in quick succession, as Martin Siber fouled their player through on goal; Martin was the last man and was shown a straight red. Then, our goalkeeper did exactly the same thing 5 minutes later but handled the ball. Out of nowhere, we are down to 9 men and soon after they score with another ball over the top.

Ironically with 9 men, we looked quite good and with a few minutes to go scored a good goal, Zack's second. In the dying minutes, we had a free-kick, which left Alan Kaler in front of the goal but he missed the chance to equalise by a small fraction, a crazy end to a crazy game.

Truly a mad game, where we lost to a really bad team who we somehow in the end made looked good. A poor defensive display in the middle and at the back combined with so many missed chances cost us in the end.
