A great way to bounce back from last week's poor result as we smashed the bottom of the table USSR for six! Another clean sheet and Inter continue to have the best defensive record across both divisions, with David Benarroch earning it today with some important saves as always.

The game got off to a great start as we immediately put pressure on their goalkeeper and defence leading to Guile Meyer stealing in for a goal from their defensive mess after just 2 minutes. Then 2 minutes later we were 2-0 up as Guile found Josh Fischbach to score his first goal for the club on his full starting debut.

The game then slowed and USSR had chances of their own, hitting the post and forcing two good saves from David. A good shot from Daniel Geron towards the end of the half forced a save from the goalkeeper, who then dropped the ball in front of Ehud Eblagon who was there to finish and make it 3-0.

Didi Hovav also had a good chance just before half time but hit the post.

In the second half, we were largely dominant of possession and the USSR chances became fewer but they did hit the post yet again at 3-0 and we were lucky to have not conceded. A load of chances for us led to 3 goals in the second half.

On the 55th minute, a punch out by the keeper fell to Didi on the edge of the box who volleyed it into the corner beautifully for the best goal of the day. Zequi Lubocki floated a ball into the box on the 70th minute and their own player headed it in to make it 5-0.

In the 80th minute, a great cross by Geron from the left found our captain for the day, Uriel Benita, in the middle, who smashed the ball home wonderfully to make it 6-0.

An important win that keeps us in the race for promotion for those top two spots and a good boost for the goal difference.

Man of the Match: Didi 🔥
