We faced Spartak Tel Aviv on a difficult winter evening, with both a few new and old faces on the squad. Meanwhile, central defender Uriel Benita went in goal for us with no regular goalkeepers available for the game.

We were arguably the better team in the first half; the team showed great attitude, playing nice and compact and going after every set piece, while creating chances, and receiving almost no attempts to our goal.

Unfortunately, in the 28th minute, a shot from the distance squeezed into our goal granting our rivals an undeserved lead. The first half continued in the same manner with Inter playing very smart football but not being able to score.

In the second half, our substitutions raised our game even further and helped us continue to press our opponents as we looked to get back into the game and equal the scores.

However, as we attacked Spartak with force, two successful counter attacks saw us go three goals behind and effectively end our hopes of getting anything from the game.

Another positive performance but unfortunately nothing to show for ourselves as we head into next week's Interclasico.
